My dvd stops and goes back to the start halfway through?

Brought a Breaking Dawn dvd, got halfway through and it goes back to the start. So I took it back, brought another Breaking Dawn dvd and it did exactly the same in the same part.

Is it the dvd player? Or is there a problem with all the Breaking Dawn dvds? It's upsetting. I wanted to watch Robert Pattinson.
