Do I need 6 months on my passport for both entry and exit when travelling to China?

I'm planning to go to China. When I arrive I will have 6 months and a few days validity on my passport but only 5 months and however many days when I leave. Will I be able to get a visa and will I be allowed entry into the country if it's noticed that I won't have a full 6 months at the time of departure or is it only the date of entry into PRC that is important? Thanks for your help.

What is a VPN?

VPN is (Virtual Private Network) were first used by companies to enable their employees to securely access internal systems such as email remotely (e.g. from home or while on business trips). Today they are increasingly being used for personal use by individuals to protect their privacy while online in public places (e.g. when using the wi-fi connection in a cafe) or in a country where the internet is censored / blocked (e.g. China, Saudi Arabia…).
