How to map out your college education using project management?

my friend has a project where they need to map out the future of their college education using project management stages (planning, executing, controlling etc) and using grantt chart to map out when they would finish their university course.

Please could you give them some examples of how they could set this out on paper and the action steps to achieve this and how they would set out the dates of completing college education on the grantt chart using project management. My friend is having a hard time writing this down on paper and doesn't know where to start. please help.

What is a VPN?
